Know how to find out when a Smith & Wesson revolver was made?
My husband inherited a Smith and Wesson .38 Special from my mom's fiance who passed. We know it was in the 30's the last patent date is 1914. Is there anyway to pin point how old the revolver is than 1914-1930 something? Of course, the serial number is on the gun.
I do not see an archives section on their page.
Smith & Wesson is a stand-up company and would probably be more than happy to help you determine when one of their weapons was made.
