USD 131.00

Dowel Pins also referred to as Parallel Pins, are commonly used to retain parts in a fixed position or to preserve alignment. Stainless Steel 18-8 Tapered Dowel Pins, #0 (.156") Major OD x 1 3/4" Length (Pack of 100)
USD 105.63

Taper Dowel Pins can be used for plates, gauges and tools which require absolute alignment. They release easily, without galling, particularly in soft plate applications. Taper pins have a uniform taper over the pin length with both ends crowned. The major diameter of the large end is the basis for pin size. The diameter at the small end is computed by multiplying the nominal length of the pin by the factor 0.02083 and subtracting the result from the basic pin diameter. The taper of these pins is 0.25 + or -0.006 per foot. These pins are not for blind holes. A tapered through hole is required.

Helical-Shank Pins For 12-22 Gauge Steel
USD 196.80

Helical-Shank Pins For 12-22 Gauge Steel; 2 ½ x .100 Wire Collated; Helical Shank; Wood to Steel Pin; 2400 ctn.. Pin fastening has been commonplace in commercial construction for over 50 years. However, many people still have a hard time understanding how a pin can fasten to steel as securely as a conventional screw fastener. The keys to the performance of the technology are the design of the pin and the driving system. Pins are made of special grades of steel that are hardened with a unique heat treating process making them ductile and extremely strong. When driven into steel with the proper pneumatic tool, their ballistic shape point uniformly pierces the steel instead of drilling it out or tearing it like a common nail. The displaced steel rebounds around the pin to create a strong compressive force on the shank of the fastener. This force, working in conjunction with a specific pin knurling pattern designed for the steel being joined, creates a high friction force that prohibits withdrawal of the fastener from the steel. Each pin is designed for a specific range of applications, matching unique characteristics and performance capabilities to the materials being fastened. When the proper pins are used in the application they were designed for, their holding strength and durability often surpasses that of screws. Organizations such as the Light Guage Steel Engineers Association (LGSEA) and the Steel Framing Alliance (SFA) support the use of Pins as a reliable fastening technology.

CATSKILL — Structural engineers began an assessment of the historic Black Bridge in the village of Catskill, Tuesday. The span, which dates back to 1882, is the last surviving remnant the long-defunct Catskill Mountain Rail Road and was still in constant use as a footbridge until last year. The Village, which owns the span, has joined forces with the Greene County Highway Department in seeking ...
